Sterling Federal Bank will be hosting Business After Hours to celebrate the Holiday Season on Thursday, December 10, from 5 to 7 at their Main location in Sterling.
Rotary has designed December as "Family Month." As we approach Christmas, Hanukkah, Kwanzaa, and other December Holidays and Holy Days, we should reflect upon our own families. Also remember that we have a Rotary Family.
We will pass the basket again on Tuesday, if you have not given for the Christmas Thank You Gift to Patrice, our lunch girl.
2016 Relay for Life of Whiteside County event will be held on Saturday, June 11, 2016.
Tuesday will be our last meeting of the year. If you would like to make a tax-deductible contribution for the Rotary Foundation before the end of 2015, please bring your check on Tuesday.

Want to live downtown Sterling?
Dan Hawkins, the President of Sterling Today, spoke about the organization which began in 1990 and did the Library Plaza, with County Market, Taco Bell, and the VA Clinic. They have been sponsoring the Street Scapes program, funding Sterling Main Street, landscaping project in the downtown area and others.
Now they are working on the "Lawrence Lofts", the three floors above the court facility. They are working with the Rock Island Economic Growth organization. The lofts will be 20 apartments with two of them being for veterans. The rehab of the building will be about $5.7 million. Their next project will be the "Mercantile Lofts" on West Fourth Street across from County Market.
Next Tuesday will be our last meeting of the year and our Christmas Party. The entertainment will be the Sterling High School Madrigals. If you would like to bring a guest, please call Russ at 815-625-7973 before noon on Monday, December 14, 2015.
