Dave Hellmich reminded the membership that the Board decided we will return to hybrid (in-person and virtual) meetings beginning Tuesday, March 1. The YWCA is still requiring masks be worn when entering and leaving the building. Wearing masks is encouraged but not required while in our meeting area.

Fun ‘N Frolic for the Boots 'n Shoes
Program
Dave Hellmich gave background on the Sauk Valley Community Leadership Program, which is in its sixth year. The program is designed to engage and develop leaders within Sauk Valley communities. The courses offered are the result of a collaboration between the Dixon Area Chamber of Commerce and Main Street, the Rock Falls Chamber of Commerce, the Sauk Valley Area Chamber of Commerce, and Sauk Valley Community College. Students in the program are guided through a 10-month skill-building curriculum that touches on subjects including leadership foundations, conflict resolution, personality types, public speaking, and more. Dave introduced Laura Carbaugh, the program's facilitator, who discussed her role with the program, and he introduced two students in the program, Chelsea Devers and Mardi Ybarra, who shared their excellent experiences with the program. Club members asked several questions and commented on employees in their organizations who have gone through this program.
